Vocational Training Centre
 
The Vocational Training Centre of BIA is a license holder, a nationally acknowledged educational organization for providing elementary and additional professional qualification.


The Centre issues a nationally acknowledged document for a completed vocational training, acquiring a degree in 35 professions and 60 majors.
 
The Professions trained in the Centre are: Marketing and Advertising; Finances and Banking; Accounting and Taxes; Business Administration; Office activities; Computer application; Construction; Hotel Management; Tourism; Environmental Protection; Woodwork and Furniture Make; Welding; Dressmaking; Bee-keeping; Gardening; Forestry and Hunting; Afforestation activities; and Herbs-gathering.

All licensed programmes include modules for acquiring basic skills, such as: language literacy in English, German and Russian languages; occupational safety and health at working; use of computer technologies, communication skills, team working skills, and etc.

  • Management teams of the Bulgarian companies

  • Unemployed persons registered in the employment agencies
  • Entrepreneurs and physical persons, wanting to start up their own business activity
  • Military personnel, leaving the Bulgarian army. BIA has been an official partner of the Ministry of Defence since 2003.
The Centre works in the following main directions:
  • Corporate and in-company training focused on optimizing the managerial skills of teams from different management levels;
  • Overall activities for ensuring occupational safety and health at work in the Bulgarian enterprises – employers’ training, legal protection, development of in-company programmes and rules, according the Law on Occupational Safety and Health and the management of its products;
  • Motivational training structured according to the characteristics of the different target groups for developing an active individual position in the labour market and working place for achieving a successful labour realization and career growing.
  • Basic and additional professional qualification for employees based on the employer’s request. The training could be done with interruption of the working process or at the working place;
  • Qualification training of unemployed with continuing practice in companies, members of BIA, for ensuring a stable employment in concrete professional fields;
  • Professional training of physical persons for achieving labour mobility and successful professional career through individual or group plans;
  • Activities for social adaptation and reintegration into the civil market for the officers and sergeants dismissed from military service as a result of the reform in the Bulgarian army;
  • Activities for encouraging entrepreneurship and starting up one’s own business initiative;
  • Training of Roma entrepreneurs with the aim of taking out the business from the informal economy and ensuring transparency of the activity;
  • Development and execution of projects for the market realization of human resources in new and prospect niches of the market;
  • Training of the Bulgarian institutions and administration in different spheres of the so called “social entrepreneurship” for a more effective and expedient management of the public means and satisfaction of the public needs in the context of the challenges set by the National and European labour market;
  • Training and consulting the Bulgarian business for a successful application of grant schemes for using the financial instruments of the EU – Pre-accession Structural and Cohesion Funds.
Social and economic influence:

The Vocational Training Centre of BIA has executed a number of projects for the past years that were completely or partially financed by European and budget programmes. That secures us the capacity and the know-how to meet successfully the challenges facing the human capital in Bulgaria in the process of accession to the EU. As a social partner BIA participates actively on all levels of the tripartite collaboration, where we develop and implement successful policies for the development of the human resources, including implementation of innovative measures for professional qualification of the labour force, in response to the new requirements of the European labour market.

Each person having successfully taken the qualification courses at the BIA’s Centre has the opportunity to be included for free in the internal “employment market” of BIA’s system. This information system creates perfect environment for meeting the interests of our members – employers, looking for staff with certain characteristics and persons looking for professional realization in chosen fields. This initiative of the Centre is provoked from the desire of offering final products to the market and for the last two years it has given its positive results.
