OTHER COLLECTIVE MEMBERS OF BIA
BIA pursues a consistent policy for an active cooperation with the scientific and training organizations in support of the industry, which is of particular importance for the processes of technological renovation and innovations.
BIA is the only national organization whose membership involves the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences as well as the biggest universities: the Technical Universities in Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo and Gabrovo as well as the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy – Sofia. Thus the industrially driven scientific potential is united and represented. The series of joint initiatives particularly in the innovation activity, and the demand of synergy between the branch and the regional projects are the pre-condition for greater commitment on the part of the business to the BAS scientific teams and the higher school in Bulgaria.
BIA has been maintaining active contacts and partnership with the representatives of the cooperative movement in Bulgaria, which has over a 100-year history. The collective membership of the CCU, Union of Artisans and Producers’ Cooperatives helps to mutually supplement the activity in many directions and provide conditions for the still more reviving productions and services for the population, for supporting the innovative solutions, and for strengthening the contacts with external specialists in the EU.
In its ambition to cover the entire diversity of institutions and organizations supporting the economic development and the business BIA has attracted as its members the Union of Economists in Bulgaria, the Federation of the Scientific and Technical Unions, the Bulgarian Union of Automatics and Informatics, the Bulgarian Council for Voluntary Certification, the Bulgarian Franchise Association and the joint Bulgarian – Chinese and Bulgarian Jordan Chambers for Economic Cooperation, and etc.
