Participation in Partnership Bodies on a National Level
BIA is recognized as a representative organization of the employers at national level in accordance with the labour code and participates with own representatives in the work of the
- National Council of Tripartite Cooperation;
- Economic and Social Council;
- Council for Economic Growth at the Council of Ministers;
- Council of Tax Policy at the Minister of Finance;
- In the supervisory and management bodies of state and public institutions among which: the National Social Security Institute; National Health Insurance Fund; Labour Conditions Fund; Employment Agency; Agency of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises; National Institute of Reconciliation and Arbitration; National Agency for Vocational Education and Training, and etc.
- State-Public Consultative Commission for Assisting the Customs Administration Development;
- National Consultative Committee of Standardization and Council of Accreditation at the Bulgarian Accreditation Office, National Council of Metrology, Bulgarian Council of Voluntary Certification;
- Participation in different commissions on national level incl. working groups for the harmonization of the regulatory framework to the EU legislation;
BIA is a founding member of the Association of Organizations of Bulgarian Employers (AOBE), gathering and defending the interests of the officially acknowledged representative organizations of the employers in the Republic of Bulgaria.
BIA intensively participates in the work of the:
- International Labour Organization (ILO);
- European Economic and Social Committee (EESC);
Thematic working groups in BUSINESSEUROPE – Confederation of the European Business
- South Eastern Europe Employers' Forum (SEEEF), under the chairmanship and coordination of BIA.
- World Trade Centre (ITC/UNCTAD/WTO);
- World Ecological Centre in Washington
BIA was a founding member of the EU – Bulgarian Joint Consultative Committee, dismissed after joining Bulgaria to the European Union.
BIA represents the interests of the Bulgarian employers in numerous committees and working groups of the European Commission and various international organizations.
